imcalc - A function for converting a scanned graph into data values. A function for converting a scanned graph into data values. This function converts the scanned bitmap into a matrix of binary values, sums these and converts them to data values using manually entered axes limits. For complex graphs this offers a much higher resolution of data retrieval, and is more accurate.Please note, that this was written for stratigraphic data, in which the y-axis is independant and the x-axis dependant. To use this for normal data will require some rewriting of the code.A sample data set (with a sample image) and a descriptive text file are included.Tested under MATLAB 5.1/5.2 Requirements: · MATLAB Release: R10

Windows 8 estimates: 500 million users in 2013

Microsoft expects to launch a new wave of optimism with Windows 8. In a recent statement, Steve Ballmer, chief executive at Microsoft, estimates that Windows 8 will reach a total of about 500 million users by the end of 2013.
